Now, this and the upcoming two articles will tell you about the career opportunities of every stream one by one. So today we are going to learn about the career opportunities of the commerce stream.

So, most of you may already know that commerce stream is also known as ''the stream of money''. It sounds funny how they say "More than 50% of the economy is run by businessmen". Well, to be honest, they are right. If you want to become self-dependent, earn a lot of money, give cheques instead of receiving them, then commerce is the right stream for you. It is also true that it has the most career opportunities as compared to other streams. 

You can become anything after class 12th if you chose this steam. But, I am gonna list 10 most popular career opportunities of commerce stream:-

1) Start your own business

Yes, you can work for yourself, have thousands of employees under you, be financially independent. Making a career in business is not as difficult as it seems. In fact, a study showed that students from any stream can adopt business in their careers. 

The only difficult thing to face in this would be to choose the thing in which you want to start your business. Your one right decision can serve your upcoming generations with a lot of comforts and your one wrong decision can ruin your entire life at once. So, business involves a lot of risks.

2)Become a Chartered Accountant

Most of the students from commerce background go towards this career but let me tell you that this involves a lot of dedication, competition, and difficulties. I am not discouraging you but only stating the truth because more than lakhs of students give the CA exam but only a few have the true capability to pass it. Although, if you have this as your dream career and have the dedication to fulfill it, then no power in this world can stop you.

A chartered accountant earns a lot of fame, respect, and money. Once you excel in this career, then you have nothing to worry about your financial life. 

3) Company Secretary (CS)

A company secretary simply manages the administration of a private or a public company being in a senior position. Becoming a CS is much easier than becoming a CA (which is regarded as the toughest course in India). This career can also bring you a lot of fame and respect.

4) Banker

A PO in a bank earns a lot of money and status. The exam is not that difficult to crack. You just need to have a good logical and reasoning skill. Although, there are other posts in banks which can also give you a descent life, but among them, post of a PO is the highest. 

5) Stock market investor

Although, I won't suggest you to make this your all time job, but it can be a very nice side job. Well, you may think that this would be too complicated or risky but let me tell you, once you learn how to do it, you will find it worth!!! It can bring you lots of money from just some investment. 

6) Become a broker

 You may not know what a broker is if you haven't yet started plus one but if you know what stock market is, it is easy for you to understand the concept of a broker. He is basically an intermediary between the buyer and seller of the shares. You can become a broker if you are a lot into dealing with share market or money. 

7) Become an economist

If you are interested a lot in the country's economy or the printing of money or the management of economic trends, then you can study the economics subject further and develop a career in it. It is an interesting field and gives you a lot of career advancement opportunities. 

8) Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Very few people are aware of this field in India, while the people from other country may know what it is. A CPA is basically like a chartered accountant but of America. It is easier to become a CPA as compared to a CA but the training is equally challenging. Although, if you are looking for a career in accounting, then I personally think, that this would be the best course for you.

9) Become a professor 

Now, you would think why am I including this job in top ten opportunities, but let me tell you that this job has the least competition and a very high amount of salary. Also, if you are good at it, you can earn a lot of respect and love. A school teacher (plus one) gets a considerably high salary so being a college professor can also fetch you a descent amount of money.

10) Become a cost accountant

A cost accountant works for cleaning the company's financial waste and plan towards having greater profit. You would think that it cannot fetch you a good salary, but a cost accountant can earn Rs.700000 per year or even higher. It is not a very difficult course as well and you can look forward to it if you are interested in this field.
